CUSTOM 75TON CHILLER PROJECT

When the owner of a 180′ Newcastle called Sovereign first took delivery her crew was immediately aware of some of the OEM chiller plant’s shortcomings. After numerous system upgrades including a re-engineered sea water system that allowed for service of individual stages without shutting down the entire plant, in 2014/2015 we started from scratch and built a custom 75 ton plant in the existing frame. Benefits of the new plant include serviceable shell in tube condensers, chilled water, raw water and refrigerant circuit shut offs for service of individual stages.
